Uganda Premier League Golden Boot winner has completed a move to Iraqi top-flight side on a two-year contract.
The striker leaves after just one season at Lugogo, bringing his stay with the Kasasiro Boys to an end.
Ahimbisibwe enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign, finishing as the Uganda Premier League’s top scorer with 14 goals. It was the second consecutive season he reached double figures after netting 16 league goals for in the previous campaign.
His departure follows weeks of speculation linking him with a move to Tanzanian giants , but the transfer failed to materialize before Zhako SC secured his signature.
Zhako SC finished ninth in the Iraqi Stars League last season with 53 points and will hope the Ugandan forward adds firepower to their attack ahead of the new campaign.
Ahimbisibwe becomes the latest Ugandan player to take his career abroad as he begins a new chapter in Iraq.
