Isaac Ssenyange “Zebra” Jr joins professional boxing

Isaac Ssenyange Zebra Jr transited from amateur Boxing and joined the Professional boxing ranks as announced on Thursday morning.

The development was announced by Ssenyange himself during a press briefing that was held at Zebra Boxing Gym in Bwaise;

“I will officially turn pro and this was decided by myself and management.” He said

“I was given examples of prominent boxers who have turned professional at a young age such as Floyd Mayweather Jr and Mike Tyson and have had great boxing careers.” Ssenyange added

“The management decided that it was the right time for me to turn professional and I believe have made a right decision.”

Concluding that ; It’s therefore time for me to start a new journey as I aim for greatness with hope that I can have several fights next year.”

This decision means that Ssenyange Zebra Jr will no longer play in the popular Uganda Boxing Champions League where he was participating in the Light Middle contest.

Ssenyange Zebra Jr, son to the late Isaac Zebra Mando has joined Bombers Shadir Musa and Joseph Ssemujju in the professional ranks.
