Following the resignation of head coach Eric Ndifuna last week, Tooro United have today named former Bright Stars and Paidha Black Angels coach Muhammed Kisekka as his replacement.
Kisekka, a CAF B holder joins a Tooro United Football Club side that failed to honor its last home game against Onduparaka, consequently losing 3-points and has now found a place in the relegation zone.
The soft-spoken youth football bigtime coach, who has never completed a season at a Premier League Club has coached only 2 sides in his 2 years’ experience in the first division – Paidha Black Angels and Bright Stars.
He becomes the third coach to take charge at Tooro United after the departure of Wasswa Bbosa who helped the club finish 4th last season and Eric Ndifuna who was his immediate replacement. Both quit citing unfavorable working conditions and we wait to see what the situation holds for the former Bright Stars youth football director.
Kisekka will be assisted by Charles “Kadidi” Ssenyange, while former Cranes shot-topper Samuel Kawalya assumes the goalkeeping coach’s role.
Since the start of the season, Tooro United has been embroiled in administrative struggles and club is rumored to be in transition to new management as per sources close to the club.
Rumors circulating indicate a one Alice Namatovu has taken over the helm and only awaits paperwork form the previous administration for the announcement to be made official.
Tooro United travel to Njeru to face Mukono based side, Kyetume FC on Wednesday in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
