Diaspora: how Ugandan professionals abroad fared over the weekend

There was not so much action in the Diaspora as most leagues were off for the International break that saw the return of the UEFA Nations League and International friendlies among other competitions around the world. However, there were a few leagues that did not break-off and here, we are with how Ugandan professionals in the diaspora featured for their teams over the weekend.

In Sweden, Viola Nambi was a second substitute as her Vaxjo DFF side earned a 1-0 win over Piteä IF in the Swedish Damallsvenskan.

Ritah Kivumbi started and featured for 46 minutes as her Mallbacken IF DFF side picked up a 2-1 away win against Sandvikens in the Swedish Elitettan.

Patrick Mulyanti featured as his IFK Amal side suffered a 3-1 loss to Savedalens IF in the Swedish Division 2.

In Egypt, Derrick Nsibambi started and played 90 minutes as his side, Smouha SC were 2-1 winners against Al Ittihad Alexandria Club in the Egyptian Premier League.

In England, Elvis Bwomono who is with the Uganda Cranes in Dubai missed his side’s 2-all draw against Exeter City in the English league two

In Vietnam, Moses Oloya featured full-time as his Hanoi FC side picked up a 2-0 win over Ho Chi Minh City in the V League 1.

Joseph Mpande also featured full-time as his Hai Phong FC side lost 1-0 to SHB-Đà Nẵng while Geoffrey Baba Kizito helped his side, Than Quảng Ninh claim a 3-0 win over Becamex Bình Dương.
