Uganda’s National team, the Cranes have left for Nairobi, Kenya aboard Kenya Airways where they will be playing their second leg encounter with south Sudan at the Nyayo stadium on 16th November 200.
SC Villa midfielder David Owori has departed with the Cranes as a squad replacement to Joseph Ochaya who picked up a second yellow card in the team’s first encounter with South Sudan at Kitende.
David Owori was among the players who were dropped by the Cranes coach Johnathan McKinstry as the selection for the final seven local based players tightened.
According to the FUFA website, the delegation headed by Hajji Abdul Lukooya will be received by former SC Villa player and Asst. Coach, Paul Mutakabala upon arrival.
The Cranes are second in group B with 7 points and 3 goals behind Burkina Faso who lead the standings with 7 points and a better number of goals scored (5).
The Cranes need to win the second leg against the Bright stars of south Sudan to further improve their chances of qualifying for the TOTAL 2021 AFCON finals in Cameroon.
