Cricket: Mugume replaces Ondeko as UCA CEO

Alex Mugume has replaced Martin Ondeko as Uganda Cricket Association Chief Executive Officer ( CEO)

This is after the business development service consultant was unveiled on Friday at the Copper Chimney in Lugogo in an event organised by the association.

He will UCA CEO for atleast the next 3 years and replaces Ondeko whose reign ended in April.

“I am very excited to join Uganda Cricket Association, this is out of my comfort zone working with a sports entity but I am eager to use my skills and experience to take Uganda Cricket to the next level.” The new CEO told the press before adding;

” Uganda Cricket Association is very ambitious and together we should be able to do amazing things” He added.

Mugume has no sports background history but joins UCA with a wealth of experience in Microfinance, development finance , Capital markets, agriculture and agribusiness.

He hold an MBA from the University of Cape Town and a BA in Economics from the University of Alberta.
