Central Africa Republic striker Ceasar Manzoki Lobi has returned to team training ahead of the Stanbic Uganda Cup final on Sunday.
This was confirmed by Vipers SC head coach Roberto Oliviera “Robertinho” on Wednesday after the Vipers No.9 returned to the country on Tuesday after playing a part in CAR’s Africa Cup of Nation qualifiers against Angola and Ghana.
Manzoki last featured for Vipers last month when he suffered a nasty head injury during the Venoms game against Mbarara City at St.Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
” I don’t know, but he is back in training, so now we have to make a decision about that.” Robertinho told the Vipers website when asked about Manzoki’s availability.
“The head thing didn’t let him do a lot. We had to let it settle and now we have to make sure that he has a few proper sessions. So, it’s very important that we have to make sure that we get him in the best possible shape.”
“But let’s see. Yesterday he was in training, was great. He was also good in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for Central African Republic in the games against Angola and Ghana.”
Vipers will play BUL FC at Masindi Municipal Stadium in the repeat of last year’s final in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The Venoms humbled the Jinja based side 8-1 in last year’s final played at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
They are on their way for first double in their history after he won the Uganda Premier League title last month.
