Beach Soccer: MUBS excluded from League fixtures for failing licensing requirements

Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Beach Soccer Club, a former champion, has been excluded from the upcoming 2023/24 FUFA Beach Soccer League fixtures by the Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA).

MUBS faced removal due to its failure to meet the minimum club licensing requirements for the 2023/24 season. UBSA has given the university-affiliated side a 14-day ultimatum to comply; otherwise, they risk not participating in the entire season.

A statement from UBSA read, “Makerere University Business School beach soccer club removed from the FUFA beach soccer league fixtures – season 2023/24 for failing to meet the club licensing requirements.”

The 2023/24 season is set to commence this Sunday, November 19, at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru, featuring five games, including St. Lawrence, Kiringente, and Buganda Royal in action.

Opening Fixtures:

  • Grace Church Vs Kampala City
  • Wolves Vs Mutoola
  • Kiringente Vs Buganda Royal
  • St. Lawrence Vs Grace Church
  • Mengo Hill Vs MS Sand Lions
