New KCCA FC signing Andrew Kawooya has revealed the reason behind his move to the thirteen-time Uganda Premier league champions.

The youngster was unveiled as KCCA FC’s tenth signing on Sunday evening during the Club’s TV show on Sanyuka TV, after putting pen to paper on a three-year deal.

Speaking at the unveiling, the 17-year old revealed why he choose KCCA FC, expressing his delight at joining the ‘best team in the CECAFA region’.

“Am so happy for this opportunity to join KCCA FC because it’s the best team in the CECAFA region” Kawooya said before adding, “I liked their style of play last season. They really play attacking football and that’s something that fits me, so it’s the biggest reason why I choose to develop my talent from here.”

“I am very happy that am going to work with Top class coaches and am looking forward to play for such a historical club and win trophies with it.”

Andrew Kawooya has previously featured for Lweza, Proline and Vipers SC Junior teams in the FUFA Juniors League  and also represented Uganda Under-17 at the 2018 CECAFA and 2019 AFCON in Tanzania.

The senior five student at St. Mary’s SS Kitende joins Moses Kalanzi, Juma Balinya, Samson Kigozi, Brian Aheebwa, Bright Anukani, Denis Iguma, Stefano Mazengo Loro, Charles Lwanga and Ashraf Mugume as the club’s additions in the ongoing transfers window.
