AfroBasket Qualifiers: Juruni summons 14 local based players

The Uganda Silverbacks head coach Mandy Juruni has Summoned 14 local based players ahead of the 2021 AfroBasket Qualifiers.

Fayed Baale and Innocent Ochera are some of the suprise inclusions.Fayed Baale was part of the UCU Canons team that made it to this years FUBA NBL finals while Innocent Ochera was an intergral part of the Ndejje University that made playoffs.

David Kongor and Titus Odeke will joins club teammate Baale on the team while City Oilers has Jimmy Enabu,James Okello,Tony Drileba and Ben Komakech.

Other notable players summoned include Paul Odong,Joseph Ikong,Geoffrey Soro, Jjumba Lumanyika and Stanley Mugerwa

4 international players are expected to join up the team.

Ben Komakech (City Oilers), Tony Drileba (City Oilers), Fayed Bbale (UCU Canons), Innocent Ochera (Ndejje), Syrus Kiviiri (Betway Power), Paul Odong (Power), Jimmy Abraham Enabu (City Oilers), Joseph Ikong Anyuru (Power), David Deng Kongor (UCU), Geoffrey Soro (Power), James Okello (City Oilers), Stanley Mugerwa (Warriors), Ivan Jjumba Lumanyika (JKL), Titus Lual Odeke (UCU Canons).

Uganda was pitted in Pool E alongside host Egypt, Morroco and Zone 3 winner in  a 3 tournament Qualifiers stated to begin  from 21st-23rd February,2020 in Egypt for the first tournament .

The second tournament will be later in 2020 at yet unconfirmed venue  before a final tournament phase in February 2021.
