Uganda’s Cranes take on the Bright Stars of South Sudan today at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende for the AFCON 2021 qualifier Matchday 3 encounter, a game to be played behind closed doors.
Uganda tops group B with 4 points in 2 games and will be looking to extend their lead atop with a win over their neighbors from the North.
The Touchline Sports’ Henry Peter Mutebi takes a look at how Uganda might lineup in this particular game.
As usual we expect the Captain, Denis Onyango to start in goal with a back four where we expect Southend’s Elvis Bwomono to debut on the right.
We expect Joseph Ochaya to start at left-back with Ronald Mukiibi and Timothy Awanyi as the Centeral defense paring.
In the middle, we are expecting Mike Azira and Khalid Aucho to occupy the zone just in front of the backline and Farouk Miya to form the central axis in in transition – going forward.
Upfront, we are expacting Derrick Nsibambi to lead the line with Emmanuel Okwi on the right and Luwagga Kizito on the left in the hunt for goals in a 4-3-3 formation.
Here’s what we expect the line-up to look like
Uganda Cranes Starting XI: Onyago – Bwomono, Mukiibi, Awanyi, Ochaya – Mike Azira, Aucho, Miya – Derrick Nsibambi, Okwi, Kizito
