6th Elite Secondary School Championship Football Draw Revealed

The 6th Elite Secondary School Championship is set to take place from 14th to 16th February 2025 at St Joseph of Nazareth High School in Mpigi.

The competition will feature several sports, including football, netball, volleyball, basketball (3×3 and 5×5), rugby 7’s, and handball.

The much-anticipated football draw for both boys and girls was held on Friday, 7th February 2025 at GNS Plaza Hotel, with officials from the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA), school representatives, and the media in attendance.

The host school, St Joseph of Nazareth High, was also well-represented at the event.

Julius Alpha Amega, head teacher of St Joseph of Nazareth High, assured that the school was fully prepared to host the event, with well-maintained playing fields and top-notch accommodation facilities for the teams.

  • Jinja Progressive Academy (2024 champions)

The competition is expected to be intense, with teams like Jinja Progressive Academy defending their 2024 championship title, and hosts St Joseph Nazareth eager to make their mark.
