An eventful and successful fourth outing of the Corporate league was concluded on Sunday 28th May 2023 at Old Kampala SS Playgrounds.
Happening for the last 20 years, the 2023 edition has seen a number of about 85 companies gathering to play different sports for socio-economic development in the country
With good weather, teams like Uganda Revenue Authority, Uganda Breweries Limited, NSSF among others took charge to the stage at old Kampala SS Playgrounds for the social gathering.
Unlike the outing, this time round a new discipline was added to the mix in Volleyball with hope of adding abit more fun on the game day as promised earlier by the committee.
We had a chat with Denis Mbidde Ssebugwawo the Corporate League Board chairperson and asked the instant change of coming back to Old Kampala SS .
“As i had told you last month, as a country we lack infrastructure and most of these pitches/grounds are inside Universities and at this time of the year students are doing examinations so that why we were back to Old Kampala SS.” he said
“But I will gladly say that for July, August we shall be at Makerere University Business School, Nakawa”he added
For the fifth outing, we shall continue with Volleyball which is now also a league under the Uganda Corporate League and will be played on round robbing basis.
In July the League we will add Basketball to the games Mbidde concluded
