The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group stage was held on Thursday, 12th October at the Parc Des Expositions venue in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
This will be the 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament and 24 nations will vie for one trophy.
Former Man City and Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure, Nigéria’s Mikel Obi, Senegal Captain Sadio Mane and Morocco’s Achraf Hakim were among the current and former football superstars who helped handle the draw.
Reigning Champions Senegal were placed in group C alongside Cameroon, Guinea and Gambia.
For the hosts of Ivory Coast, they were dumped in Group A alongside Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau.
