Uganda Premier league CEO Bernard Bainamani says UPL will sit with FUFA next week to decide the new dates when the league shall resume.
The league was supposed to return on 5th May but due to president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni decision to extend the ban on all sports activities for more 21 days due to the noble Covid-19, it impossible for the 2019-20 SUPL season to resume per the pre-scheduled date
We have to sit with FUFA and decide the new dates of when the league will resume.
Bainamani said in an interview with Uganda’s Top media outlets New Vision
Bainamani further says they will have to reschedule the remaining games to end before June 30th so as not to affect the 2020/21 season
Of course we have to reschedule these games before June 30 since it is when the FUFA calendar of 2019/2020 is supposed to end. We don’t want to affect the start of the 2020/2021 season.
Before the break, Vipers SC was top of the log with 54 points garnered in 25 games , 4 above of reigning defending champions KCCA FC
