Vipers SC Unveils Nikola as New Head Coach

Uganda Premier League giants Vipers SC has announced the appointment of Nikola Kavazović as their new head coach.

The Serbian tactician was unveiled at a brief ceremony held at St. Mary’s Stadium by the Club President Lawrence Mulindwa.

Kavazović replaces Charles Livingstone Mbabazi, who left the role before the end of the last season.

He has signed a two-year contract with the six-time Uganda Premier League champions.

The 48-year-old coach has a wealth of experience, having previously managed teams in Botswana, Kenya, South Africa, and Ethiopia. He has also coached the national teams of Sri Lanka and Tajikistan.

“Pressure is my middle name,” Nikola said after he was unveiled.

“I am grateful for this opportunity and I want to deliver success. I am a student of Portuguese football philosophy and I very much want disciplined players.”

Kavazović will be assisted by Fred Muhumuza, Jose Esdras, Ali Kimera, Kato Ibrahim, and Michael Lule.

He is expected to bring success back to the club, which finished trophy-less in the 2023/24 season.
