In their home ground of Kabaka kyabagu stadium, Wakiso Giants picked a 2-0 win against Mbarara city.

Shariph Sheen Kimbowa with Hassan Ssenyonjo’s assist opened the score for the home side in the 35th minute.

With six minutes to conclude the match, Shariph Kimbowa delivered a pass to Kenneth Kimera who fired a left shot from the opponents’ box to double the lead.

Into the game game, John Luyinda’s side dominated the first half through Hassan Ssenyonjo, Rahmat Ssenfuka and Apollo Kagogwe, Shariph Kimbowa.

Wasswa Bbosa coached side dominated the final 15minutes of the match with the ball being played mostly in the opponents’ half.

Captain Akandwanaho, substitutes Seiri Arigumaho and Benson Muhindo efforts to score goals were stopped by defenders, Ambrose Arinda, Kagogwe, Nzau and goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya.

With 32 points, the Purples sharks fall in the eleventh position, 10 points above relegation while the Ankole Lions are twelevth with 31 points.

In their next fixtures on 14th May, Wakiso Giants visits KCCA in Lugogo while Mbarara city plays title contenders, Bul FC at the Kakyeka stadium Mbarara.
