Somalia’s consolation came through Ibrahim Osman.

“We would have scored 5 by halftime but we weren’t very clinical. Credit to Somalia, they set out to make it difficult for us.” Cubs Head-coach Brian Ssenyondo acknowledged

“If they had kept it 0:0 at half time then it would have been very difficult for us.” He added while speaking about the game.

Tanzania who held Uganda to a one all draw in the opener won the other semi final played today, defeating South Sudan 4:0.

They (Tanzania), together with Uganda will be East Africa’s representatives in Morocco next year.

Ssenyondo believes this time his team can get the better of them;

“The final will be a totally different game, we know how they’ll set out and we’ve got solutions for that.” He concluded

The two will tussle it out in the final on the Friday 27th December at the Hamz Stadium to decide the qualifier.
