Uganda drops in the latest FIFA rankings

Uganda has dropped three places in the latest FIFA rankings that were released on Thursday 25th of November 2020.

The Pearl of Africa that gathered 1,307 points dropped from 76th to 79th out of the 210 Member Countries ranked by the world governing body.

Uganda’s drop in rankings follows their disappointing results in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers where they lost to South Sudan 1-0 in Kenya this month.

Other CECAFA members:

Kenya dropped by one place to 104 with 1187 points. Kenya is also second to Uganda as the best country in the CECAFA region.

Sudan (127), Rwanda (133), Tanzania (135), Burundi(138), Ethiopia (147) South Sudan (163), Djibouti (185), Somalia (197) and Eritrea (205) are least ranked in CECAFA region with 856 points

Belgium (1780), France (1755), Brazil (1743), England (1670), Portugal (1662), Spain (1645), Argentina (1642), Uruguay (1639), Mexico (1632) and Italy (1625) are the top countries in the FIFA ranking

The next rankings will be released in December.
