Uganda Cup: Ssekajugo double enough for Wakiso to progress, Police bow out


The Uganda Cup round of 64 had its 5th gameday on today with three StarTimes Uganda Premier League teams in action from the four matches that were played different play grounds.

Wakiso Giants emerged 2-0 winners against Bugoigo FC in a match played at the bugoigi grounds in Buliisa. Vianney Ssekajugo scored both of the goals in each half of the game as Wakiso made it to the round of 32.

Kyetume were 3-0 winners against Sansiro FC of Mbale at the sansiro playground. A first half goal from Cephas Kambugu and a brace from Denis Lubowa in the second half helped the slaughterers progress to the next round.

Abdallah Mubiru’s team Police Fc was ejected at the round of 64 by Admin FC in a game that ended 2-0 at Pays primary school play grounds in Tororo.

The other game saw UPDF FC win 2-0 against Mbale Garagi FC at Mbale play ground.

Uganda cup round of 64 will climax tomorrow, Sunday 26th January with seven games on card.
