2020/21 season runners up URA FC have continued to dominate the transfer window as the side is preparing for continental football next season

Thirteen-time Uganda Premier League winners KCCA FC are the other side that have started early preparations for the 2021/22 season after enduring one of their worst finishes in the last 10-years.

Here’s a summary of the events in the ongoing transfer window;

Emmanuel Wasswa crosses to KCCA from Villa

SC Villa midfielder Emmanuel Wasswa has reportedly crossed over to rivals KCCA FC according to reports.

Wasswa who has been a consistent player for the Jogoos and ‘one of the few forces that were propelling a difficult engine’ to move has been seen as a great addition to the Lugogo based side that was devoid of character.

Innocent Wafula joins KCCA FC from Mbarara City

Former Vipers SC right-full back Innocent Wafula has also completed a move to KCCA FC from Mbarara City according to close sources.

Wafula who had a brief stint at the Ankole Lions where were he forced his way into the starting team has been also thought of as one of the players needed to bolster the Kasasiro Boys’ squad that has lacked a right-back for the most part of last season.

He has previously played for Kenya’s Gor Mahia, Busoga United and Viper SC.

Saidi Kyeyune completes return URA

Reports indicate that midfielder Saidi Kyeyune has completed a return to his former club URA FC.

Kyeyune has been club-less following his contract termination with Sudan’s side El- Merrick SC a few months after joining the club, coming off a wonderful feat at the Total CHAN 2021 tournament where he scored 2 goals for the Cranes.

Kyeyune was a darling at the tax collectors before his move and his experience will be a great addition to the club as they are preparing for a continental expedition.

Usama Arafat joins KCCA  from Kajjansi United

KCCA FC have reportedly completed the signing of left-footed exciting winger Arafat Usama from FUFA 3rd Division side Kajjansi United.

Usama’s exploits in 2020 Masaza Cup competitions ignited interest from several clubs and the fact that KCCA FC has captured his signature brings about the anticipation of what we should expect next.

He joins a list of several players who have joined the club including Brian Majwega, Innocent Wafula, and Emmanuel Wasswa.

Ronald Ssekiganda targeted by KCCA and URA

URA FC and KCCA are reportedly eying the signature of SC Villa midfielder Ronald Ssekiganda.

The 2019 Masaza Cup MVP joined the Joggos on a two-year contract from FUFA 3rd Division side CATDA FC.

Charles Bbaale to URA

URA FC is in advanced talks with promising striker Charles Baale according to reports.

Charles Bbaale was the 2020 Masaza Cup top scorer  with Gomba Lions where he scored eight goals.

He was also the 2018/2019 western region league top scorer with eight goals while playing for Terrazo and Tiles.

If the deal finalizes, he will join a list of new incomings for the Tax collectors that include Geoffrey Wasswa, Derrick Ndahiro, Saidi Kyeyune among others.
