Transfer Speculation: Former Express FC coach on list to replace Golola


Startimes Uganda Premier League side Vipers Sports Club is in search of a new Head Coach after parting ways with Edward Golola yesterday.

Golola was sacked after the team’s failure to qualify for the next round of the Stanbic Uganda Cup following a shameful defeat to a lower league side and rivals Kajjansi United FC.

The next day Vipers SC through their official website announced the sacking of their head coach and the entire technical team.

In the meantime, the club management has entrusted St Mary’s Kitende Head Coach Abel Daniel Male to conduct Vipers SC training sessions as the search for the new Head Coach commences.

Today, we take you through a list of the possible coaches who can take up the vacant position.

According to the speculations, Fred Kajoba headlines the news, it’s rumored that the former Bright Stars FC head Coach is in the closing stages of joining the Kitende based side and only personal terms are holding the deal.

The Kitende based side are also rumored to be willing to spend millions to acquire the signature Wakiso Giants FC Head Coach Livingstone Mbabazi. Vipers have been tracking the former Onduparaka FC Head Coach for over 2 years now.

Another potential replacement is Wasswa Bbosa, The former Tooro United FC head coach is currently clubless after leaving Tooro United last year, Bbosa was once tracked by Vipers SC in 2018 but they failed to agree on personal terms.

Vipers could also do the unthinkable and land the KCCA FC gaffer Mike Mutebi, Mike was hugely linked with the Kitende based side in 2019 but no negotiations were held between the two parties even after all the speculations.
