StarTimes Uganda Premier League outfit Police FC has landed midfielder Tony Mawejje who joins the club as a free transfer after ending his contract with Kuwait based sports club Al-Arabi SC.
The club has announced on its official Twitter account that Mawejje has penned down a two-year contract.

Mawejje returns to the Police FC after having played for the Cops between 2006 and 2007 when he joined them from KCC FC (Currently KCCA FC).
Mawejje has previously featured for Masaka LC, KCC FC, URA FC (2008), Iceland’s IBV Vestmannaeyjar (2009), South Africa’s Golden Arrows (2012), Norway’s Haugesund (but did not make an appearance until 2014).
He also featured for Valur of Iceland (on loan/2014), Protur, an Icelandic club (from 2015 to 2017). He joined KF Tirana of Albania (2017-2019) before joining Kuwait’s Al-Arabi SC.
Tony Mawejje last featured for the Uganda cranes on 25th January 2017 against Mali in the AFCON Group stages (group D) which ended in a 1-all draw.
The former Masaka LC midfielder played 83 matches and scored 8 goals for the Cranes.
