Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) has confirmed the departure of youngster Steven Sserwadda for the Major League Soccer (MLS).
The Kasasiro Boys confirmed the revelation on Tuesday afternoon that Uganda Hippos midfielder will be joining MLS outfit New York Red Bulls
“We hereby confirm that we have finalised an agreement for the transfer of Steven Sserwadda to New York Red Bulls on an undisclosed permanent transfer,” read a statement on the club’s website.
Sserwadda leaves the club after six years. He joined KCCA FC in the 2015 season and has since won five trophies.
The 18-year old is the second KCCA FC player to join MLS from KCCA FC after Mustafa Kizza signed for Montreal Impact.
At New York Red Bulls, he will link up with former KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes player and captain Ibrahim Sekagya who is part of the coaching staff at the club.
