Six-time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC host Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium-Wankulukuku seeking to pile more misery on the Kasasiro Boys and extend their unbeaten start to the season.
The Red Eagles are still unbeaten this season, garnering three wins and three draws in their opening six games, including their first win away during the last matchday (an impressive 1-0 win over URA in Ndejje). The Red Eagles sit fourth on the log, having picked up 12 points in the process.
Speaking in the presser at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium, Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa says his side is ready to fight and take maximum points off KCCA FC.
“We’ve continued from where we stopped, based on our last game against URA FC. We failed to convert many chances although we won the game, so the concentration in training has been on scoring and i am sure we shall do so.”
“KCCA FC is a decent team but we’re prepared to fight and maintain our unbeaten run, and most importantly get the maximum points.”
On the otherhand, their opponents KCCA FC are enduring an uncharacteristic losing spell, faltering their last three games to SC Villa, URA and BUL FC respectively and are currently in ninth position on the log with only 9 points ( garnered in their opening three games).
A win for Express would take them level on points with defending champions, Vipers SC on 15 points while if KCCA manages to return to winning ways on Wednesday, the Kasasiro Boys would move up to third position on the log.
