Forward, Nelson Ssenkatuka scored the only goal that gave Soltilo Bright stars maximum points against Wakiso Giants in the Wakiso derby.

Assisted by substitute Nourdin Bunjo, Nelson Ssenkatuka found the back of the net two minutes left on the clock from the penalty area at the Kavumba Recreation ground.

Into the game, the visitors looked more dominant through captain Hassan Ssenyonjo, Titus Ssematimba but their attempts were easily stopped.

The hosts started off with countable penetration into the opponents’ box before substitute Noordeen Bunjo changed the game in the second half leading to the only goal in the game.

Ssenkatuka’s goal extends his tally to 11 goals and also a top scorer in the season, 2 goals above his immediate rivals Denis Omedi and Fred Amaku who are tied on 9 goals.

Bright stars moves up to the 9th position with twenty one points while the Purple Sharks stay in the 12th position with Sixteen points.

Soltilo Bright stars will travel to Njeru Technical Center, Jinja to play table leaders Bul FC on 7th February while Wakiso Giants will take a short trip to Luzira prisons ground to face Maroons fc on 8th February.
