It will a relegation threatened battle on Friday evening as Onduparaka FC host SC Villa at the AbaBet Greenlight Stadium in Arua.
Both side sit in the bottom half of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League as SC Villa sits just a point above the drop zone with 25 points, while Onduparaka sits two points above the Jogoos with 27 points in 23 games.
These two side have already met twice this season and Friday’s encounter will be the third. Villa has come out top in those two encounters – winning them both.
They won the Uganda Cup tie 1-0 after beating the Caterpillars 2-1 in the first round encounter.
Villa head into this seeking to complete a third league over the Caterpillars after doing so in the 2017/18 and 2019/20 seasons.
But last season at Greenlight Stadium, Villa lost 1-0 courtesy of Living Kabon’s lone goal.
In the last five league games away from home, Villa hasn’t been impressive – winning just one and this will give alot of motivation to Onduparaka who have lost just one league game at home this season.
There record at home stands at 4 wins, 6 draws and one loss.
Both side are not safe currently, so they need a victory to enlighten their hopes of relegation survival.
Last Result
Onduparaka beat Police FC 4-1 away from home with Muhammad Shaban netting a hat-trick while SC Villa suffered a 2-1 loss to their rivals Express FC at home.
What a win could mean
A win for Onduparaka would take them to 30 points and would replace UPDF FC in 8th position.
While SC Villa would move to 9th position with 28 points if they defeat the Caterpillars in Arua.
