Vipers fall by a goal to Bright Stars away in Wakiso at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds.
In a game where a result was much needed by the Venoms, the Kitende team was so wasteful on the day.
Noordin Bunjo launched the first attack of the game in the 7th minute and struck a shot which was launched but was stopped by Vipers goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora.
Four minutes later, Venoms were denied by the woodwork by a well hit shot by Karim Watambala.
In second half twelve minutes after restart, the Venoms squandered another goal-scoring opportunity after Milton Karisa hit the post.
Five minutes later, Bright Stars broke the deadlock through in form Emmanuel Loki, who capitalized on poor defending to put the ball in an empty net.
Minutes later, Karisa and Karim Ndugwa were both denied by Hassan Matovu to win it for the Wakiso side.
This result leaves Vipers in second with 45 points, one behind log leaders SC Villa and level with KCCA FC.
For Bright Stars, they move to seventh with 35 points and will play Wakiso Giants next in Wakiso derby while Vipers will be away to Onduparaka.
