The Federation of Uganda Football Association ( FUFA), through their Competition Disciplinary Panel has awarded Vipers three more points following a succession petition against Tooro United

The Venoms petitioned FUFA after Tooro used an ineligible player against them, in a match they lost 1-0 at Buhinga Stadium, Fort Portal.

The ineligible player Ronald Kayondo, who was donning on shirt 28 wasn’t supposed to play the game as he was suspended following card accumulation.

Kayondo received cards in games against Onduparaka on January 8th, Onduparaka on February 8th and Sc Villa on February 26th.

He should have been suspended in the loss against Police but played a few minutes. He then played against Vipers hence the venoms petitioned.

Accordingly, the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has awarded Vipers the three points and as many points.

“FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel has awarded three points and three goals to @VipersSC SC after a successful petition against Tooro United FC for fielding an ineligible player in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League match between the two teams on 11.3.2022 at Buhinga Stadium.” Read a statement by FUFA released on their official social media handles.

The three points means Leader Vipers move seven points clear of second placed KCCA on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League log with nine games left.

The ruling also means Tooro get back to nine points in 21 games and sit bottom.
