Eric Kambale netted his first ever hatrick for Express FC as they defeated Kyetume while Yunus Sentamu netted a late equaliser for Vipers SC against URA in Kitende as the StarTimes Uganda Premier league matchday 23 climaxed on Wednesday evening with four fixtures.

Starting in Mukono, youngster Eric Kambale netted his first ever hatrick for Express FC as they came from behind to defeat Kyetume FC 3-2 at the Nakisunga Ssaza Playgrounds.
Ezra Kizito Kaye put Kyetume ahead four minutes in, but before the 20th minute, Eric Kambale pulled the Red Eagles level with a fine finish to ensure the game went into the break with the scores tied.
With a hour on the clock, Kambale had his second of the game with a shot outside the box that sailed past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
Moments later, Kambale completed his hatrick with a rebound from Mustafa Kiragga shot that had rattled the crossbar to bounce back into play for Kambale to finish off brilliantly.
Later on , Kyetume pulled a goal back through Ezra Bida but it was too late to cause late drama.
Kambale has now netted 11 league goals, just three behind the current top scorer Yunus Sentamu.
With the hard-fought win, Express FC move two points adrift log leaders, URA FC who drew 1-all with Vipers SC.
In Masindi, Kitara came from two goals down to secure a two-all with BUL FC at the Masindi Municipal Stadium.
Joseph Semujju netted a first half brace to put the Jinja based side 2-0 ahead by halftime, but Patrick Kusemererwa and Edison Agondeza netted in the closing half to complete the comeback and secure a vital point at home.
With a disappointing draw, BUL FC move to 27 points garnered in 23 points whilst Kitara remain bottom of the log with 10 points.
In Lugogo, nothing could seperate Police FC and KCCA at the MTN Omondi Stadium as they played out to a goalless stalemate.
KCCA and Police remain 4th and 5th respectively, both tied on 38 points.
In Kitende, Yunus Sentamu netted a late equaliser to salvage a 1-1 with URA FC in a top of table clash played at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Sentamu’s strike came in the 85th minute to cancel out Cromwel Rwothomio first half strike.
With the draw, Vipers get to 50 points garnered in 23 games while URA are on 51 points and stay top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier league log.
