Aheebwa, Ocen and Kalumba make shortlist, Ssenyonjo left out
KCCA FC forward Brian Aheebwa, Police’s Ben Ocen and UPDF’s Brian Kalumba have been shortlisted for the Pilsner player of the month award for December.

To the surprise of many, KCCA FC forward Samuel Ssenyonjo who has scored five goals for the Lugogo based side and contributed to at least four goals has been left out.

For the month of December, Ssenyonjo scored once in KCCA FC’s first game, a win over Bright Stars, scored four and also assisted striking partner Brian Aheeba three times against Onduparaka in the 8-0 humbling of the Arua based side, and also helped Aheebwa again in their last game against URA FC taking his contribution to nine goals out of the club’s total of fourteen.

Teammate, Brian Aheebwa in the month of Decemeber has also managed to find the back of the net seven times, while Police FC’s forward, Ben Ocen has scored six and UPDF FC’s Brian Kalumba five during the month.

Brian Kalumba and Ben Ocen have scored but their contribution to the team’s goals is not as outstanding as Samuel Ssenyonjo’s.

Meanwhile, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC head coach Sam Ssimbwa and UPDF FC tactician Kefa Kisala have been shortlisted for the coach of the month category.

Kisala’s army side currently occupy top spot with 12 points garnered in five game, winning four and losing once.

Ssimbwa’s URA FC are second on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table with 11 points in the opening five games, winning three and drawing two.

The Pilsner Player of the Month Awards are a reward to the best performing personalities of a given month in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
