Stanley Mugerwa has completed his move to Kampala International University ( KIU) Titans.
The Silverbacks power forward joins the Titans from Warriors Basketball Club on a two- year employment deal.
“I’m happy to join Titans.” Mugerwa said before adding “The team has ambitions and I felt I could make my contribution”
Mugerwa adds international experience to the Titan roaster having featured for the national team, the Uganda Silverbacks at the 2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers and the first leg of the AfroBasket 2021 Qualifiers.
He joins Denis Balungu, Oscar Muge, and Samuel Agutu as KIU Titans signings ahead of the upcoming 2021 National Basketball League. Muge and Agutu returned to the club from JKL Dolphins and Power respectively.
The 2021 NBL season will tip-off on 17th April 2021 with five fixtures on the opening day. KIU Titans will take on Betway Powers at the KIU Court while defending champions, City Oilers will battle Nam Blazers in the other mouthwatering fixture.
Last season’s league was called off days before kickoff after a presidential directive to put a ban on all public gatherings as a measure to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.
