Stanbic Uganda Cup: SC Villa start campaign with huge win against Kireka United


SC Villa started off their Stanbic Uganda cup campaign this season with a comfortable win on Wednesday at the Kings Park Arena, Bweyogerere

Joogos thrashed Kireka United 6-0 in the round of 64 game, one where Hassan Musana starred getting involved in four goals.

The majority of goals came in from the unusual names like Rogers Kiwanuka who put up a brace, Hassan Musana, Edward Masembe and the other from Charles Baale.

The under pressure Kampala regional league side also scored an own goal to hand the UPL side a comfortable win that pushed them into the round of 32.

SC Villa continue their quest for the 10th Uganda Cup title inorder to match the record of Express and KCCA FC who both have won it ten(10) times.

In the other game played on the day, Apuutun FC lost 1-0 at home to Big League side Police FC

SC Villa and Police join last season’s finalists of the previous edition (Bul FC and Vipers SC) who qualified to the round of 32 on Tuesday after defeating Sparks FC and Bujumbura FC respectively.
