Ugandan all-rounder Siraje Nsubuga delivered a standout performance over the weekend, helping Sir Ali Muslim Club B secure their victory in the Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) Division One.

After losing the toss and being asked to bowl first, Siraje played a key role with the ball, finishing with impressive figures of 2 wickets for 15 runs in 3 overs.

His efforts helped restrict the Kanabis B team to just 112/7 in their allotted 20 overs.

In the chase, Siraje contributed with the bat, scoring 14 runs off 18 balls.

Sir Ali Muslim Club reached the target in just 18 overs, securing a 4-wicket win with 12 balls to spare.

“I’m thrilled to see my team win.

It brings me a lot of joy,”

Siraje shared after the match

“I’m here to give my all for the club.

Fighting for the badge is my responsibility, and I want to leave Nairobi a better player, ready to fight for my spot when I return home.”

With this victory, Sir Ali Muslim Club remains firmly in the hunt for the top spot, sitting second on the table with 16 points.

They have recorded three wins, one tie, one loss, and one no result from six matches—just two points behind table leaders Swamibampa B.

Notably, Siraje is not the only Ugandan player competing in the NCPA league this season.

His compatriots, Simon Ssesazi and Bilal Hassun, are also showcasing their skills in the Super League division, with Ssesazi representing Stray Lions A and Hassun featuring for Kanabis A.

This league has provided valuable playing time for these Ugandan cricketers, especially as the domestic cricket season in Uganda is yet to begin.
