UCU starlet Fayed Baale has been included in the final thirteen-player squad that has been summoned by the Team Uganda Silverbacks management to respresent the country at the upcoming FIBA AfroBasket second window qualifiers in Tunisia.
The team comprises of eight local based players and five foreign based players that are set to depart on Tunisia on Thursday ahead of prepared training camp in Monastir.
Fayed Baale, who missed the cut for the first window in Egypt last year is included while Stanley Mugerwa is dropped. Another new face who makes the cut is Cesar Kizito, the Sharing Youth Saints swingman.
The Silverbacks head into the second qualification window in Tunisia with two wins garnered against Morocco and Cape Verde in the first window which took place in Alexandria, Egypt last year.
After the second window, the national teams that finish in the first three places of each group qualify for the 30th edition of Africa’s premier basketball competition, which will take place in the Rwandan capital of Kigali from August 24 to September 5.
