Uganda Women National Netball Team, She Cranes started their preparations for the 2025 Vitality Netball Nations Cup on Monday 6th January.
The tournament that will feature teams like South Africa, Malawi and hosts England is set to take place at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, England from 1st and climax on 9th February.
She Cranes led by newly appointed interim coach Rashid Mubiru and Ruth Meeme, began training at the Makerere Netball grounds.
After the end of the first training session, came out to justify his experience and exposure;
“The National team is not new to me because I once brought home a medal for Uganda with the U18 team from Botswana” he said
Adding that; “I know most of the players starting with those players in the professional ranks since they have all gone through my hands so no body should get worried of how well I will handle the team”
After the return of Racheal Nanyonga into the side during the Africa Cup, another experienced player has been called up in Goal Attacker Stella Oyella and Wing Defender Sylvia Nanyonga just like emerging talent talent Joan Reroboth from St. Mary’s Kitende.
