Banura Phoebe joins FUFA Women’s Super League Champions, She Corporate Football Club from UCU Lady Cardinal.
The left full back has joined the Sharks for a undisclosed fee on a two years contract that will keep her at the Club until the end of 2024 season.
This will be the second addition to the MUBS based side after they already signed Joanita Ainembabazi from Rines SS WFC.
Banura is rated one of the best left backs in the country because she’s very comfortable with the ball and her game reading/ intelligence is top notch.
The stylish Left back has represented the Crested Cranes (Uganda Women’s National team) before at COSAFA tournament, possessing the 2018 Women’s cup to her name after they walloped She Corporate FC 2-0 in Sheema and she also won FUFA Women’s Elite league (2nd tier league).
Talking to the media on Monday morning, Banura Phoebe came out to express her excitement saying that ;

The Sharks continue to strengthen their team as they prepare represent Uganda in CAF Women’s champions league CECAFA region zonal qualifiers in Arusha Tanzania.
The Sharks played a test game against Kawempe Muslim Women’s Football team at the weekend where they lost 2-0 courtesy of Allen Nassali and U-17 captain Shakira Nyigahirwa.
Away from the loss, the most notable point in this game were the appearances of the six (6) new faces in the Sharks team like Cissy Nakate, Jackie Nakasi(both still UCU players), Anita Namata, Esther Naluyimba who are still Uganda Martyrs WFC players, Goal keeper Nankya Zahara of the new FUFA Women’s Super League entrants She Makerere and the new signing Banura.
