Tactician Sadick Ssempigi has left his role at Arua Hill SC to return to Mbarara City as their new head coach.

Ssempigi replaces Hussein Mbalangu who resigned from his role on Wednesday morning citing unfavorable working conditions and salary arrears.

Ssempigi has been working as Livingstone Mbabazi’s assistant at the Kongolo since the start of the season.

The CAF B coach worked as interim head coach in the 2020/21 when Muhammad Kiseeka and Brian Ssenyondo were sacked before he worked as Livingstone Mbabazi’s assistant when he returned to the Kakyeka based side last season.

He finds the Ankole lions 12th on the log with 15 points garnered in 15 games.

Ssempigi’s first task will be a Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64 tie against Six O’Clock FC next week.
