Terrazo & Tiles defeats Booma FC on penalties - the touchline sports

Terrazo & Tiles FC will play in the FUFA Big League for the 2020-21 season after coming from a goal down to defeat Booma FC 4-3 in an entertaining penalty shootout after a 1-all draw in regular time at the FUFA Technical Center.

Booma FC took an early lead into the game courtesy of  Walter Omona strike five minutes into the game.

In the first Stanza, Terrazo and Tiles tried very hard to find the leveler but Booma FC had answers for all that was imposed on them by the Western side. Booma’s Owobusingye cleared off the line what had to be a goal for Terrazo and Tiles after beating goalkeeper Musisi.

In the second stanza, Terrazo and Tiles continued to chase the game, and 12 minutes from time, an equalizer was found as Abraham Athuhairwe tapped in a well-driven Charles Bbale freekick.

Athuhairwe’s goal was enough to ensure that the game ends in a 1-all draw after 90 minutes with penalties needed to decide the winner.

As usual goalkeeper Peter Otine had to come to the rescue for Terrazo & Tiles in the shootouts with a stunning performance, managing to save three great penalties to ensure that Terrazo won the game 4-3 in penalties.

Fred Gift, Swadick Collinsis, and Jasper Akiiki Owobusinge penalties were all parried away by Otine.

Terrazo & Tiles now join Luwero United from the Buganda Region and Eastern side Gaddafi FC as new entrants in the FUFA Big league season of 2020/2021.
