Vipers Sports Club hosts Kyetume FC as former coach Jackson Mayanja Mia Mia looks to make a mark of vengeance the Kitende based side.
Jackson Maynja was at Vipers during the Club’s early days after replacing Charles Ayiekoh Lukula from the start of the 2007 season but left unceremoniously in what was rumored to be a row over the commission on his salary by some kingmaker.
He has since been at numerous clubs including Tanzania’s Simba and KMC before rejoining Kyertume FC, a side he helped promote to the First-tier.

As Kyetume visits the St. Mary’s, it will is the moment Jackson Mayanja will be looking to make the most of to exact revenge against his former employers. Vipers who lead the StarTimes Uganda Premier League are hoping to regain their 4-point lead which was trimmed down to 1 following KCCA FC’s narrow win over Mbarara City FC earlier on Wednesday.
In the reverse fixture during the first round, Vipers SC scored two quick first-half goals courtesy of Forwards, Fahad Bayo, and Mzee Dan Sserunkuma to take 2-0 lead at halftime. However, the Mukono based side came back the stronger side in the second half to pull a goal back through Robert Ssentogo to take the scores at 2-1 at the end of the game.

The hosts, Vipers SC are unbeaten at home having collected 6 wins from 7 games in front of their fans, with the other game ending 2-2 against Mbarara City FC.
On the other-hand, Kyetume FC has an inferior record away from home having won only 28% of their 8 away games so far this season.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Vipers SC head coach Edward Golola affirmed that he expects a tough second round of fixtures but his team is fully ready for the tasks.
We have prepared ourselves well knowing that this campaign is not easy.
It’s going to be tough and we need to be ready for anything. The team has also one or two new faces that are charged and motivated to give their best. They are ready to be unleashed.

Vipers’ new signing Paul Mucurezi is expected to make his debut while midfield lynchpin Bobos Byaruhanga might miss out after he picked up a slight knock during training.
