In their quest to return to the top flight, African Lyon has secured the signature of former Butambala, Masaka SS and Simba FC exciting winger, Abdu Lukwata.
A statement released about the transfer read,
Abdu Lukwata has joined Tanzanian first Division side African Lyon FC on a 2-year employment contract from Onduparaka FC.

African Lyon was relegated from the Tanzania top flight at the end of the 2018-2019 season.
Lukwata joins a growing list of players who have left Onduparaka FC since the end of last season with the club reportedly facing financial challenges.
Most recently, Geriga Atendere, Faizul Ibrahim, and Gadhafi Wahab left the Club and joined Wakiso Giants FC.
