Nemostars Volleyball Club is on a mission. Once again, they have earned the honour of representing Uganda at the prestigious Africa Club Championship (ACC), set to take place in Misrata, Libya, from April 17th to 30th, 2025.
This is more than just another tournament, it is an opportunity to showcase Ugandan volleyball on the grand continental stage.
But before they set foot on the courts of Libya, they must first overcome a crucial challenge: raising $50,000(shs 183 m) to make the trip possible.
Nemostars is no stranger to the continental scene. Having represented Uganda seven times in the past, the team has battled against Africa’s best, making appearances in Libya (2013), Tunisia (2014, 2015, and 2021), and Egypt (2016, 2018, and 2019).
Twice, they have broken into the top ten—a testament to their unwavering determination and skill. Now, they prepare to once again carry Uganda’s flag high, but their journey to Libya hinges on rallying financial support.
As one of Uganda’s premier volleyball clubs, Nemostars has proven time and again that they belong among Africa’s elite.
Their participation at the ACC is not just about competition, it is about inspiring the next generation of Ugandan volleyball players, raising the profile of the sport in the country, and proving that Uganda can stand tall on the continental stage.
However, competing at this level comes with significant financial demands. The $50,000 fundraising target will cover travel, accommodation, and other essential expenses required to ensure the team competes at the highest level. Without these funds, the dream of showcasing Ugandan volleyball in Libya could slip away.
Nemostars has already received some support from generous sponsors like Centenary Bank who have been instrumental in their preparations by providing a package of shs. 5,000,000.

The club extends its gratitude to these partners but recognizes that more help is needed. They are now calling on organizations, individuals, and sports enthusiasts to join hands in making this journey a reality.
This is a rallying cry to all lovers of Ugandan sports—businesses, volleyball fans, and well-wishers, to contribute in any way possible. Every donation, sponsorship, and word of encouragement brings Nemostars one step closer to competing at the ACC.
Supporting Nemostars is more than just funding a trip; it is investing in the future of Ugandan volleyball. The team’s participation in Libya will not only elevate their skills and experience but also inspire young athletes who dream of following in their footsteps.
Nemostars is ready to battle it out with Africa’s best. They have the talent, the passion, and the drive. Now, they need the support to make it happen. Will you be part of this incredible journey?
