NBL: City Oilers defeats Ndejje University for maiden win, Nam Blazers roll past UCU Cannons

Record seven-time champions City Oilers garnered their first victory of the 2021 NBL  season on Saturday evening at the KIU Court, Kansanga after they came fom behind to defeat Ndejje University 77-67.

After having trailed by 4 points at halftime (38-34),  City Oilers turned around that deficits in the second half to win the game by 10 points.

Three Oilers players, James Okello, Jimmy Enabu and Fidel odur had double digits points as Enabu lead the way with 20 points while Okello and Fidel finished the game with 13 and 15 points respectively.

On the losing effort, forward Samuel Ajax had a double-double, a game high 22 points and 10 rebounds  while Cikom Munbal finished the game with 14 points.

Elsewhere, Nam Blazers improved their record to 2-0 after they rolled past UCU Canons 66-45 .

David Deng Dikong led the Blazers with 17 points, while Francis Azolibe and Emmanuel Okumu added 12 each to hand their side their second successive win in the National Basketball league.

For UCU, Peter Sifuma led the way with 11 points in just 18:19 minutes on the field of play.

In the only game in women’s league, Sharon Kirabo scored 17 points to guide the KIU Rangers to a 61-48 win against Angels BC.
