Ssingo Saza team has made a major statement ahead of the 2025 Masaza Cup tournament by acquiring the services of two talented players, Mbigo Livingston and Ssembatya Jackson, from Busiro.

The double transfer was confirmed this week by the Busiro Saza team, who revealed that the duo was released in a deal worth 1.4 million Uganda Shillings. Both players had one year remaining on their contracts, but the opportunity to strengthen Ssingo’s squad ahead of the new season proved decisive.

Mbigo Livingston, who captained Busiro during the 2024 Masaza Cup campaign, was instrumental in the heart of midfield. Despite Busiro’s early exit in the group stages, Mbigo’s leadership and technical ability stood out throughout the tournament, earning him praise from fans and analysts alike.

Ssembatya Jackson

Ssembatya Jackson, another key figure for Busiro last season, adds further quality and experience to Ssingo’s ranks. Together, the pair are expected to play a pivotal role in bolstering Ssingo’s ambitions as they target Masaza Cup glory this year.

The 2025 Masaza Cup is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, 5th July, with defending champions Buddu hosting the opening game. With the tournament fast approaching, Ssingo’s swift moves in the transfer market show clear intent to challenge for the title.

As the countdown to kickoff begins, all eyes will be on how Mbigo and Ssembatya integrate into the Ssingo setup and whether their arrival can help deliver long-awaited silverware.
