KCCA FC are eager to maintain their winning momentum in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League as they host UPDF FC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in hunt for a fourth straight victory.

Head coach Brian Senyondo has challenged his players to improve more on their performances as they target a fourth consecutive league victory.

The Kasasiro Boys have enjoyed an encouraging run of results that has boosted their position in the standings, but Senyondo insists they must raise their standards as they target dethron Vipers off the league crown.

“We are happy with the results because they keep us moving up the table towards our target of winning the championship. However, our performances are not yet at the expected level, and I believe we can do better,” Senyondo said.

The coach is encouraged by his team’s improving goal-scoring form and the growing contribution of different players in attack, which he believes will be crucial to their title ambitions.

Ahead of the UPDF encounter, Senyondo expressed confidence in his squad’s ability to secure maximum points, urging his players to control possession, attack with intensity, and execute their game plan.

“They are tough, but we are tougher. We want to win every game we play,” he added.

Senyondo also defended his squad rotation policy, insisting that every player must be ready to deliver when given an opportunity. He further highlighted the importance of nurturing young talent, with Trevor Mugisha making his debut recently and Ismael Farid continuing to impress.

Although Emojong remains sidelined through injury, Nana has returned and will be assessed ahead of selection, while most of the players who missed the previous match are available again.

KCCA will now look to combine improved performances with a positive result as they seek to extend their winning run having won the last three with a 2-0 victory against Ntungasaze, 1-0 against URA FC and a home 1-0 victory against Kataka.
