Kansai Plascon paints Cricket Cranes

Uganda Cricket Association have signed a two-year partnership with Uganda’s leading paint company, Kansai Plascon.

The deal worthy Shs.240 million was announced on Thursday during a press conference attended by Plascon Uganda Managing Director Santosh Gumte flanked by UCA bosses.

“At Plascon we celebrate colour in all aspects of our consumers’ lives. But that’s not merely a marketing mantra. It’s our DNA. It’s the compass that guides everything we do. Colour is more than just paint; It’s about adding value, joy and beauty to our everyday life, in the things that we do. This sponsorship is a continuation of that commitment.” Santosh said before adding;

“We appreciate the role of sports development in our lives, providing employment, international accolades galvanising people from all walks of life. We wish our national team the very best going forward,” Santosh Gumte added

Of the 240 million, 140 million will be inform of cash (70m per year for a period of two years) while the rest will go into development.

Cricket Cranes joins the growing number of sports entities that the paint company have invested in in the past few years. They include Plascon Mongers, Arua Hill and Vipers SC.

The paint company is also a key sponsor of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
