According to our sources, they will undertake the trials this coming week at Al-Merrikh Stadium in Omdurman.

Kambale has been one of the lethal strikers in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League in the past two seasons. He was integral in Express’ StarTimes Uganda Premier League title triumph in 2020/21 season, finishing as the second highest league top scorer ( 15 goals) as the Red Eagles won their first league title in close to a decade.

While last season, he finished the league with eight goals in 24 appearances for the Red Eagles.

Kambale was also a key pillar as Express clinched the 2021 Kagame CECAFA Cup, bagging three goals at the tournament.

It should also be noted that Kambale scored one of the two goals as the Red Eagles beat Al-Merrikh 2-1 at the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League in 2021 at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende. They were however eliminated on away goals rule after losing 1-0 in Khartoum, Sudan.

For Dhata, He has endured two terrible years at Vipers SC since he joined them in 2020. He spent last season on the sidelines with a knee injury.

Al Merrick currently sits second on the 16-team log with 59 points in 25 games.
