The 21/22 FWEL golden glove winner Zahara Nankya joins She Corporate on a half season loan from Makerere University Women Football Club.
She becomes the club’s third signing of the summer. The goal keeper completed last season unbeaten in between the sticks at She Makerere in the FUFA women’s Elite League (2nd tier women’s league in Uganda)
This is not the first time, Nankya is on this kind of engagement since she was among the list of players that joined Masindi based side Lady Doves in the first CAF Champions League Zonal qualifers for the tournament with now fellow She Corporate team-mate Daphne Nyayenga.
Apart from being the golden glove winner last Zahara is a winner with a couple of accolades to her name. The FUFA Women’s Elite league being the most she has held(X2).
She will come in to compete for the number one spot with the best goalkeeper in the top flight league last season Daphne Nyayenga.
Zahara is one of those experienced goalkeepers that are full of confidence to attack balls and organize the backline, something she has done for She Makerere all season.
She Corporate will look to add a few more players to this squad with names like Cissy Nakate, Anita Namata, Esther Naluyimba and Jackie being discussed.
