Defensive midfielder Gift Abubaker Ali has reportedly rejected a Shs. 25 m offer from his current club KCCA FC to renew his contract which expired at the end of last season.

Gift Ali joined KCCA FC from Police FC in 2018 on a three-year contract under former club manager Mike Mutebi and has gone on to become one of the most important players at the Omondi Stadium.

The latest reports coming in from Lugogo indicate that the player is on the verge of leaving the club after being presented with an offer that he feels needed to be improved before putting pen to paper.

However, it is reported that the club is considering an improved bid for the attacking midfielder cum deep-lying playmaker so as to retain him for the next few seasons.

Fears have already started growing within the Lugogo faithful considering the fact that Gift Ali who was brought to the club by Mike Mutebi might end up at Vipers next season should the former Villa coach be confirmed at Vipers as rumours first had it.

The former Proline FC midfielder has struggled for playing time last season due to recurring injuries compared to his best performances during the 2019/20 season.

More reports coming in from Lugogo indicate that former Vipers midfielder Keziron Kizito has left the club is looking at the next available offer. It is reported that Wakiso Giants and SC Villa have already expressed interest in the playmaker.
