Gaddafi promoted to StarTimes Uganda Premier League

Gaddafi FC have been promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

This is after the Jinja based side narrowly defeated Proline FC 2-0 in the playoff final game played at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Tuesday.

Munguchi Steven and Frank Mulimi netted the two decisive goals of the game to lead the Soldiers Boys to victory and Consequently promotion.

As early as the third minute, Munguchi headed home the first off a well delivered Fesali Najib’s Corner.

While Mulimi put the game to bed after he received the ball from Joel Madondo to net into an empty net after rounding off Nicholas Ssebwato in the Proline goal.

Gaddafi now join Arua Hill and Tooro United as the three promoted sides to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Arua Hill finished top of the Elgon group while Tooro United won the Rwenzori group at the end of the regular season.

The 2021/22 StarTimes Uganda Premier League is scheduled to kick-off on 15th October.
